Istruzione
Ha iniziato lo studio del pianoforte all’età di 12 anni.
Dopo gli studi classici di pianoforte e composizione si dedica all’approfondimento della musica improvvisata, del Jazz e delle tastiere, prediligendo le sonorità contemporanee.
Studia composizione, direzione di coro e contrappunto e fuga.
Ha conseguito il Diploma in Pianoforte Classico LTCL (Licentiate of Trinity College London) presso il Trinity College di Londra e il Diploma in Pianoforte Jazz presso il Conservatorio di Milano.
Tra le masterclass a cui ha partecipato si ricordano quelle presso la Royal Academy of Music e la Guildhall School of Music di Londra.
Attivo nell’ambito concertistico fin dal 2005, ha suonato in diverse formazioni di musica rock, pop e swing parallelamente ai recital pianistici.
Nel 2017 fonda il progetto EKE, gruppo sperimentale di musica elettronica e jazz contemporaneo con il quale registra, nello stesso anno, il disco Electric Keys Experiment.
Nel 2019 si forma il suo progetto principale: il trio Barba Negri Ziliani, trio jazz di stampo contemporaneo con il quale esplora, le possibilità della formazione del piano trio alla ricerca di una voce originale da cui traspirano echi di jazz, musica contemporanea, musica classica, minimalismo e rock. Registra con il trio l’album Too Many Keys nel 2020.
Nel 2021 è arrangiatore e direttore musicale del disco Maramao – Canzoni tra le guerre di Matteo Ferrari. Incide il disco come pianista.
Nel 2022 esce il secondo disco del trio Barba Negri Ziliani dal titolo Orpheus in the Underground, pubblicato da EMME Record Label.
Fa parte del duo Mandolino Contemporaneo; per questa formazione scrive Ergobando Suite e il ciclo 5 canzoni per mandolino e pianoforte tra il 2021 e il 2022.
Lavora stabilmente con FluffyAudio in qualità di compositore e demo-producer.
Collabora con l’Associazione Il Vagabondo di Trento, con la Piccola Orchestra Lumière, Bazzini Consort e altri.
Ha partecipato a molti festival, tra cui JazzMi, Piano Day Milano, Fara Music Festival, MantovaMusica, Onde Musicali sul Lago d’iseo, I Suoni delle Albere, Minerva Musicae, Desenzano Jazz Festival, Riese Music Festival, MantovaJazz Young, Settenovecento, Trento Film Festival.
Insegnamento e divulgazione
Svolge l’attività didattica come insegnante di pianoforte, tastiere, musica d’insieme, armonia, storia della musica e tecniche dell’improvvisazione presso la Scuola di Musica del Garda e BAM Bedizzole Academy of Music di cui è anche Direttore Didattico e Artistico.
Dal 2020 tiene conferenze sulla storia della musica e l’analisi dei capolavori della musica occidentale.
È collaboratore del gruppo di MusicoTerapiaOrchestrale Le Risonanze di Villanuova sul Clisi.

Education and training

In 2021 he is arranger and musical director of the album Maramao – Songs between the wars by Matteo Ferrari. He records the album as a pianist.

Teaching and dissemination

Lehre und Verbreitung
